The Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the SEWB Program Manager to provide support to the FDSV Pilot sites by undertaking tasks such as the development and implementation of FDSV resources, providing culturally secure FDSV advice, developing stronger connections in the sector to increase FDSV capabilities, increasing the prominence of the FDSV Pilot within the WA health system and maintaining processes to support pilot site deliverables.
The aim of the Pilot project is to support the development and implementation of family, domestic and sexual violence practice within the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.

About You
We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Possession of a relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Development, or a related discipline, or demonstrated experience in the family, domestic and sexual violence sector.
- Demonstrated theoretical understanding and knowledge of family, domestic and sexual violence in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural context.
- Proven experience in program management and planning.
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise competing demands in a complex working environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to support FDSV workers with guidance and to prepare high-quality written documents.
- Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills
Ideally, in addition to the above, we are looking for someone who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is acknowledged as such by their community.
Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA "C" Class Driver's Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment.Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia and will be required to provide evidence of this entitlement, such as an Australian passport or birth certificate.
The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of workplace participants, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
