
Culturally Sensitive Healthcare Specialist

This role is a key component of the Out-of-Home-Care Health Pathway Program, offering comprehensive health assessments for children and young people in statutory care to enhance health outcomes.
Key responsibilities include providing psychosocial assessments, coordinating care, and navigating services to support improved health and wellbeing for children, young people, and their families. This involves collaborating with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and maintaining connections with the local Aboriginal community.
Culturally responsive, trauma-informed care delivery requires multidisciplinary team collaboration. The successful candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with clients, teams, and stakeholders while working within a dynamic environment.
Requirements:- Qualifications in Social Work or Psychology with registration, or tertiary Counselling qualifications with appropriate membership, or Occupational Therapy qualification with AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated competency in culturally informed assessment and care coordination within OOHC or trauma settings.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and engagement with clients and the multidisciplinary team.
