Culturally Sensitive Healthcare Professional

We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in South Western Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist services to Aboriginal patients and their families with chronic and/or complex needs.
Working collaboratively with other healthcare providers, your focus will be on facilitating optimal health outcomes, improving health literacy, and increasing early detection and intervention. Your work will address the social determinants of health in a culturally safe, patient-centered way.
The service area spans the Dharawal, Gundungurra, and Darug Nations, covering Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, and surrounding Macarthur suburbs, as well as the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist services to Aboriginal patients and their families with chronic and/or complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to facilitate optimal health outcomes.
- Improve health literacy and increase early detection and intervention.
Requirements:
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Aboriginal Health or a related field.
- Have experience working with Aboriginal communities and healthcare systems.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
