**Heritage Registry Project Officer Role**

\Abstract Heritage Act and Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register
The role of the Heritage Registry Project Officer is to support the administration of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 by maintaining the accuracy of information submitted to the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register (VAHR). The officer will undertake research and analysis, provide clear and concise verbal and written advice, and support the operation of the Heritage Registry team. This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification in archaeology, anthropology or cultural heritage management, or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrating the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register.
  • Researching and analyzing data for the VAHR.
  • Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders.
 
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and the VAHR.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.
