Claims Decision Specialist

About the Role:
The Claims Decision Specialist will be responsible for making informed decisions regarding claim acceptances and rejections, as well as transitioning claims to appropriate case managers for ongoing management.
The role requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of relevant legislation, and excellent communication capabilities.
A key responsibility of this position is to calculate PIAWE, advise dispute resolution managers on decision rationale, and identify potential recovery opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Required Expertise:
A minimum of 2 years' experience in initial claims assessment or a paralegal/legal assistant position is required. A strong working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 and associated Regulations is essential.
