About This Role

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Organ and Tissue Donation Service, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating voluntary assisted dying services. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families.

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the Organ and Tissue Donation Service, the NSW voluntary assisted dying care navigator service, and local health district VAD teams. You will be responsible for providing education and resources internally to the team and externally to stakeholders, establishing processes for Organ and Tissue Donation after voluntary assisted dying, and contributing to research and publications related to voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of voluntary assisted dying services.
  • Develop and deliver education programs for nursing and clinical staff on voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation.
  • Establish processes for Organ and Tissue Donation after voluntary assisted dying.
  • Contribute to research and publications on voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation.
