An Organ and Tissue Donation Voluntary Assisted Dying Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled professional to play a pivotal role in supporting voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement processes for post-voluntary-assisted-dying organ and tissue donation
- Collaborate with local health district teams and external stakeholders on education and resource provision
- Establish partnerships between OTDS, NSW VAD care navigator service, and local teams
- Conduct research related to voluntary assisted dying and organ and tissue donation
- Experience as a critical care nurse, particularly within organ and tissue donation
- Ability to develop and deliver education programs for nursing or clinical staff
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
This is a part-time position, 19 hours per week, based in Sydney. The successful candidate will be employed by NSW Health under the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 classification.
