About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mail Sorting Officer to join our team at a Mail & Parcel Processing Centre. As a Mail Sorting Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the processing of standard letters, large letters, small parcels, and Express Post articles.
  • Manually handle and sort mail articles in cases where it cannot be machine sorted.
  • Manually load and unload mail from mail bags, trays, containers, and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices).
  • Work across sophisticated processing equipment and lines.
  • Operate and use load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers while cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is flexible with working additional hours if required. You should have a great memory, excellent attention to detail, and be able to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly. Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory.
