Mailroom Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Team Member in a fast-paced mailroom environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for efficiently handling and sorting mail, ensuring accurate distribution and timely delivery within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• General administrative duties, including data entry and mail sorting
• Mail and courier pickups and deliveries to various points in multiple sites
• Preparation of mailbags for internal and interstate offices
• Courier bookings and lodgements with various courier companies
• Dealing with customer enquiries and responding to incoming calls in the mailroom
• Maintaining office equipment, office supplies, and stationery
• Light cleaning duties and assisting with filing and maintenance of document files
• Data entry and general administrative duties

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess a positive attitude, be highly reliable, and have a keen eye for detail. You should also have good computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel, and be able to work autonomously. Additionally, you should be able to work under pressure to achieve stringent service standards and be punctual, reliable, and hardworking.

Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship
• Previous mailroom experience and familiarity with working in an office environment
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
• High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Ability to work under pressure to achieve stringent service standards
• Punctual, reliable, and hardworking
• Fit and able to lift large packages
