As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care in the Cancer Care department. This is a temporary part-time position.
About the Job
South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) prioritizes delivering compassionate and high-quality patient-centered care. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist 2, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop clinical management plans, exercise autonomy, and apply professional boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues
- Develop and implement clinical management plans
- Exercise extended autonomy of decision making
- Apply professional boundaries
- Develop and facilitate patient education
Qualifications and Skills
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in specialty field
- At least 3 years recent experience working in the specialty clinical area
- Ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of harm minimization
- Previous cancer care experience in an acute care facility
