Exceptional Patient Care Specialist

A dynamic healthcare professional is required to deliver exceptional patient care in a Radiation Oncology setting.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit team of nurses who are dedicated to providing best practice services and giving patients an exceptional treatment experience.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care, ensuring the physical and psychological needs of patients are met.
- Undertake direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration as per established protocols.
- Manage nursing patient load effectively.
- Facilitate communication with multidisciplinary teams and provide feedback on relevant matters.
- Ensure accurate documentation, communication, and actioning of patient listed events.
- Maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines aligned with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
- Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Minimum two years post-graduate experience.
- Preferred oncology background or knowledge, although not essential.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
- Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate clinical management of care.
- Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as a team member.
