Job Description

We are seeking an experienced National Employment Director to provide strategic leadership and operational excellence across our employment services portfolio.

This is a rare opportunity to shape programs that make a tangible social impact while delivering sustainable commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor external economic, political, and social trends to inform innovative service growth and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyse internal portfolio trends, challenges, and opportunities to support sound policy development and strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement strategic portfolio plans focused on delivering high-quality services and enhancing user engagement.
  • Lead by example to cultivate a high-performing, values-driven culture where staff are empowered to improve work practices and maintain safe, inclusive environments.
  • Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and coaching to portfolio leaders, driving the development of high-performing teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role and a business-related qualification.

Energetic and active leadership.

Strong strategic, planning, and execution skills.

High level relationship management and influencing skills.

Risk Management - understanding the need for compliance and monitoring government contracts.

High level written and verbal communication skills.

Able to build a fully engaged team culture.
