Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Performance: Ensure the workshop operates efficiently, safely, and effectively by managing resources, maintaining equipment, and implementing process improvements.">
  • Customer Liaison: Develop strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service, resolving issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for growth.">
  • Scheduling: Schedule site work to meet client requirements by coordinating with teams, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring efficient completion of projects.">
  • Supervision: Supervise and manage permanent and supplementary employees by providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure professional and ethical conduct.">
  • Equipment Management: Manage the design, build, and maintenance of equipment, including modifications and repairs, to ensure optimal performance and safety.">
  • Safety Inductions: Conduct safety inductions and training plans for new and existing personnel to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.">
  • Safety Equipment: Issue safety equipment and tools as necessary, ensuring employees understand their use and application.">
  • Purchasing: Purchase additional equipment, safety gear, and workshop supplies as needed to support operational needs.">
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide reports as required to management and stakeholders.">

Requirements:

">
  • Fitter & Turner or Fitter Machinist qualification at C10 or above (post-trade qualifications an advantage).">
  • Leadership and management qualifications or experience.">
  • Previous supervision/management experience in a field service or workshop organization (preferably in a heavy industrial environment).">
  • Excellent service delivery skills, with a focus on customer relationships.">
  • Ability to set priorities, work to deadlines, and work with minimal direct supervision.">
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and work demands.">
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.">
  • Australian Driver's Licence (Forklift Ticket an advantage).">
  • Senior First Aid certificate (an advantage).">

Working Conditions:

">
  • Manual work in various positions.">
  • Lifting equipment using correct lifting practices.">
  • Climbing ladders to heights of 30 meters.">
  • Working at heights from ground level up to 50 meters.">
  • Working in conditions of extreme temperature.">
  • Working next to live failed plant at pressures up to 5000 psi.">
  • Working in areas where corrosive, explosive, dangerous, and hazardous products exist.">
  • Working in confined spaces (after correct training).">
