Astrum Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join their team on the prestigious Snowy Hydro 2.0 project in New South Wales.

About the Role

  • The Site HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for the electrical and mechanical scope at the construction site.
  • This includes development, implementation, and promotion of relevant health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local and provincial regulations, as well as federal regulations, including Workplace Relations Management and Heavy Vehicles National Laws.
  • Design and implement relevant HSE site-specific programs.
  • Participate in work planning meetings to ensure HSE tasks are prepared in advance.
  • Perform site audits and inspections.
  • Supervise HSE team members and provide coaching and training when necessary.

About You

  • You will have a university educational background in Health and Safety or a related domain.
  • Strong experience in Power Plant construction projects, heavy infrastructure, or the oil and gas sector or heavy construction projects.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of local and provincial regulations of Australia/New South Wales, as well as federal regulations.
