Job Title

The Senior Manager will be part of an inclusive accounting policy and advisory group that supports finance teams in ensuring IFRS compliance as well as local GAAP compliance.

This role involves advising on appropriate accounting treatments for proposed transactions in accordance with business unit-aligned focus areas.

The Senior Manager will have the opportunity to develop and maintain the Group's accounting policies and frameworks in specific subject matter expert areas and support the Group in understanding and implementation of accounting standard changes.

Additional responsibilities include representing the organization at industry forums and championing a team's strategic pillars such as accounting developments, training or stakeholder engagement.

Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in business or commerce and relevant accounting certification (CA/CPA)
  • Extensive experience within a technical accounting role
  • Experience in interpreting and advising on impacts of changes in standards to the organization
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills as well as attention to detail
  • Demonstrated people leader experience and a natural collaborator who can initiate and lead conversations with leaders regarding anticipated opportunities
