Project Planning and Coordination Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in New South Wales, AU.

This role will involve generating, monitoring and maintaining project schedules and programmes.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders from all business departments to develop integrated project schedules, allowing us to deliver new and rebuilt mining machinery projects to contract requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create, monitor, and analyse project schedules in accordance with industry procedures and project requirements.
  • Assist Operational Planners to translate schedules into an executable plan in SAP, evaluate resource capacity.
  • Implement project variations into the project schedule for effective change management.
  • Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and report distribution.
  • Generate project reports and task lists to support project execution.
  • Monitor projects' progress, update the schedule accordingly, and identify critical path activities.
  • Maintain the project risk register to minimize the impact on schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans.
  • Organise and maintain a scheduling management system for identified projects.
  • Analyse critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommended work-arounds.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years related-work experience as a scheduler for heavy equipment manufacture or overhaul, or construction, mining or similar complex projects.
  • Proficiency in MS project scheduling software or other such as Primavera.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Good analytical and planning skills.
  • Able to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have good attention to detail and excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality.
  • Able to work effectively within a team setting and individually.
