**About the Job**:

We are seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team at Kingston Soldier's Memorial Hospital MPS.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering direct client services to our residents, working under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist residents with daily living activities including bed making, personal hygiene, toileting, mobility support, communication assistance, distribution of laundry, cleaning of equipment, transportation of clients within the facility, and support for residents with special needs.

- Contribute to client assessments, assist with medication self-administration under medical authority, and help with routine treatments and procedures.

Requirements:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and timeframes, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

- Capability to perform general tasks under supervision, exercising judgment and initiative in daily tasks.

- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
