Job Title: Casual Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking experienced care professionals to join our team on a casual basis, providing personal care and support to residents in a residential aged care setting.

About the Role:

The Casual Personal Care Assistant is responsible for delivering high-quality personal care, support, and assistance to all residents under the guidance of the senior clinical team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent personal care to assist residents in maintaining independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.
  • Check residents' daily menu requirements.
  • Carry out duties as allocated and/or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
  • Any other tasks not defined but within the employee's skills, as directed by the organisation.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • A current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • A relevant Certificate III Qualification.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in residential aged care.
