Business Development Manager Job Description

At the forefront of our company's growth, we are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead business development within the Commercial/Asset Finance Broker channel. This key role focuses on building new business relationships while maintaining strong connections with customers and brokers.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in sales and financial solutions, with a proven track record of delivering complex financial products to corporate or enterprise-level clients. Strong communication skills and an ability to understand financial risks and levers are essential.

This role offers a unique opportunity for self-starters with a consultative sales background to drive revenue growth and contribute to brand expansion through industry events and sector presentations.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate product distribution into large corporate and enterprise-level customers by establishing relationships and identifying client needs.
  • Prospect and develop business opportunities by expanding professional networks across target industries.
  • Owning activities to meet or exceed targets, collaborate with the Broker Sales team to capture opportunities and work with third-party introducers as necessary.
  • Work with the project onboarding team to ensure successful product implementation and rollouts for new clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales/BDM role within finance.
  • Experience delivering complex financial solutions to corporate or enterprise-level clients.
  • A self-starter with a proven history of success in consultative sales dealing with sophisticated business clients.
  • Ability to understand financial risks and levers, especially relating to working capital.
