Purchasing Specialist

About the Role
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for ensuring that Wilmar purchasing processes are maintained in accordance with Wilmar policies and procedures.
This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase requisitions, including associated approvals/authorisations for purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Purchasing Team to maintain high work standards and continually improve work practices and procedures enabling the purchasing of goods and services to meet customer service expectations
- Review purchasing/supply quotes and seek alternatives on appropriate alternatives to reduce overall cost to the business.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in a high performing team environment
- Adhere to compliance with accounting policies, procedures, strategies and systems in such a way that audit requirements are met and adverse business impacts are mitigated
