Visual Storyteller Opportunity

The Tasmania JackJumpers are one of ten clubs in the National Basketball League (NBL). From the club's inception, community-driven values and strong cultural foundations have fostered success both on and off the court. We aim high and jump higher, committed to continued improvement, innovation and high performance across the entire club.

We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our expanding Media team. This newly created position will play a pivotal role in creating visual assets that connect with fans and tell our story. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the visual evolution of our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create compelling visual content for both the established JackJumpers NBL team and the WNBL franchise
  • Design engaging content for social media channels, websites, and electronic direct marketing campaigns
  • Develop membership collateral, merchandise designs, and dynamic game-day assets
  • Ensure all creative work aligns with brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in fonts, layouts, tone of voice across both teams
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of creative campaigns and seasonal content for both franchises
  • Work closely with internal teams to maintain visual consistency and support fan engagement initiatives
About You
  • Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating solid design principles including typography, layout, and brand alignment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive creative thinker with outstanding communication and organisational abilities
  • Self-motivated and resilient, with openness to constructive feedback
  • Knowledge and interest in basketball or sports content highly advantageous
