About the role
Job Description:The Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for providing expert health and wellbeing services to individuals in Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley, and Somerset regions.
You will conduct comprehensive intake assessments to determine the mental health needs of adult consumers and provide evidence-based individual and group therapy to address a range of mental health concerns.
This may include both in-person and telehealth supports. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Delivering crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW).
- Experience using telehealth platforms for remote service delivery.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health.
- A current Blue Card and National Criminal Check, as well as a current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle for community-based work.
