Senior Mental Health Clinician Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care Team in the Emergency Department and Mental Health Telephone Triage. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment, and support to consumers experiencing significant mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and direction of multi-disciplinary staff in service delivery
  • Implementation of the agreed model of care for the service
  • Recruitment, selection, and induction of staff into the team
  • Deputising for the manager as required
  • Inter-agency liaison activities within the region
  • Monitoring and maintaining clinical systems and information management processes
  • Front-line service to the LRH Emergency Department
  • Conducting assessments and completing safety plans
  • Providing evidence-based interventions and collaborating with community organisations
  • Monitoring consumers' physical and medical state
  • Providing pharmacological and psychoeducation
  • Recording treatment and support in a comprehensive and factual manner
  • Participation in clinician supervision
