
Advanced Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing advanced social work services, leading complex cases, and contributing to service planning, evaluation, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead crisis intervention including trauma, counseling, case management for patients/families with illness adjustment, domestic violence, child protection, end of life care, and bereavement support
- Supervise staff and students
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for service improvement and provide training and education
- Initiate, lead, complete, and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes
- Degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)
- Clinical experience in crisis intervention, staff and student supervision, policy development, and quality improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing skills, and high-level computer literacy
- Negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills with diverse stakeholders
- Ongoing education and development, including regular clinical supervision, monthly staff development sessions to enhance clinical practice, and opportunities for external education and training
- Opportunities to lead and be involved with research, with established partnerships with universities and a WSLHD Professor of Allied Health
