Your new career opportunity exists for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to service, repair and maintain the PENSKE Rental and Leasing fleet.

As a Senior Fleet Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet is presentable, reliable and compliant to NHVL. Your duties will include:

  • Repair of vehicles as required and ensuring all required paperwork is completed and accurate;
  • Manage a small stock of inventory and maintain the workshop in a clean, tidy state at all times;
  • Maintain the fleet to a high aesthetic appearance by washing, cleaning and detailing;
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements;
  • Diagnose, repair and implement strategies to maximise fleet availability while controlling costs;
  • Identifying and recommending preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Coordinate your workload and ensure servicing of vehicles are in accordance to the OEM / company scheduled maintenance program;
  • The ability to travel and assist in field service activities as required.

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum.

This role requires an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Senior Fleet Maintenance Specialist.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification, preferably mechanical trade certificate;
  • Previous experience in servicing heavy vehicles/road transport (preferred);
  • Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously with a strong safety focus;
  • HR License (Preferred but not necessity);
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively;
