About the Role:

ENGIE is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Manager to support the delivery of the Goorambat Solar Farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is constructed in a safe and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and administer ENGIE's health and safety management systems at the project site.
  • Communicate ENGIE's expectations in relation to safe work practices and behaviours.
  • Daily supervision of contractor's activities to ensure works being conducted safely.
  • Propose and implement safety initiatives within the work site.
  • Management of contractor compliance against ENGIE lifesaving rules and One ENGIE Safety program.
  • Review and audit contractor safety systems and documentation.
  • Attend and actively participate in risk workshops, toolbox, simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and daily pre-start meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies, issues and risks.
  • Participate in and conduct incident investigations and critically review contractor's incident investigation reports.
  • Prepare monthly H&S report including reporting against H&S performance indicators.

The successful candidate will be part of the ENGIE team, working on the delivery of the Goorambat Solar Farm.

Requirements:

  • Experience with the application of HSE management plans and HSE management systems for construction sites.
  • Managed contractors to meet and/or exceed safety requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of a principal contractor and the asset owner's HSE responsibilities.
  • Ability to instil a safety first mindset to others.
