Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled data analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for unlocking valuable insights from large datasets and turning them into actionable recommendations for the business.

The ideal candidate will have strong competency with SQL, experience wrangling and analysing data using Python or R, and a grounding in mathematics/statistics. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and develop strategies to address them. You will be responsible for finding creative solutions to complex problems, building and maintaining dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that data-driven decisions are made.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Find insights that help us understand both our business and customers - think creatively and outside the box
  • Suggest and run interesting experiments that will move our metrics - let's see what sticks
  • Build and maintain dashboards for our product teams, making them look really good - no design talent required
  • Own projects, data models, dashboards, and other artefacts, keeping them up-to-date and high quality in a hypergrowth environment
  • Use our giant databases to answer challenging questions (and have fun doing it)

Requirements:

  • Strong competency with SQL; experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is a plus
  • Experience wrangling and analysing data using Python or R
  • Experience with optimising product funnels, running experiments, and building dashboards that effectively communicate results and outcomes
  • A grounding in mathematics / statistics and a bachelor's degree in a STEM area is preferred; but not required
  • Experience with very large data sets is a huge plus, but not required
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written - break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
