Job Title:

Business Development Manager, Structured Finance

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Structured Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of deal structurers and seniors, managing team member performance and accountability, and building world-class client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coach associates and senior associates in both deal structuring and execution
  • Ongoing file management
  • Lead a highly motivated and enthusiastic team of associates and seniors in a growth segment
  • Support credit decision-making jointly with Bankers under the Delegated Committee Authority
  • Contribute towards the delivery of the HGEC Business Plan
  • Contribute towards risk and capital management plan; proactive positioning of the portfolio to meet finance plans and regulatory changes;
  • Sakeholder engagement to align plans and performance throughout the financial year

Requirements:

  • Proven People Leadership Experience
  • Excellent credit writing and analysis, capable of executing complex business lending cashflow transactions
  • Demonstrated experience across deal structuring & execution, portfolio management, client engagement, preferably within financial services and/or medium to large complex organizations
  • Business partnering experience with the ability to engage, collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A willingness to tackle complex problems and use critical thinking, your new work, skills, knowledge, and available data to drive better outcomes for our colleagues, customers, and the bank
  • A positive attitude and strong motivation for continuous learning and development
  • Ability to develop these capabilities within your team
  • Experience and/or exposure to M&A financing solutions (preferable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (post-graduate qualification would be highly regarded)
