Waterways and Land Officer Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our organization and contribute to enhancing life and liveability in Melbourne and beyond.

We are seeking a Waterways and Land Officer who will provide custodianship for waterway, flood, drainage, and land assets through the safe and efficient initiation and delivery of Waterways and Land services and programs within a discrete geographic area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide program-level customer relationship interface with external and internal customers
  • Initiate and review capital and operational works
  • Conduct internal development advice and planning referral responses
  • Work with stakeholders to recruit landholders into incentive programs

Requirements:

  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to influence and lead external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in waterway, drainage, and land asset management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project and contract management skills
