About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Engineer to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence national team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to and assist on projects Australia-wide, developing fire safety engineering design solutions across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and develop fire safety engineering design solutions under the support and guidance of senior management and engineers.
- Interface closely with fire protection engineering and other disciplines within KBR and externally as required.
- Work under the direction of the Senior Fire Safety Engineers in conjunction with the regional Building Services team.
Requirements
- Degree in fire safety engineering or relevant science- or engineering discipline.
- Working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks.
- Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
