About the Role

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our fire engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of technically excellent fire safety outcomes tailored to our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all types of fire engineering projects, providing detailed technical input across a broad range of projects within the fire engineering business and related areas.
  • Prepare, oversee and review project reports for clients summarising key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes under supervision.
  • Represent Arup at internal and external meetings, including leading approvals negotiations and being a competent communicator.
  • Liaise with other disciplines within the region, providing particular expertise on fire engineering as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specialising in Fire Engineering or a similar area.
  • Be fully aware of all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
  • Chartered and Registered with relevant engineering authority body.
  • Relevant industry experience in Fire Engineering within a consulting business environment.
  • Prior experience in laboratories, data centres, infrastructure, warehouses, etc.
