Fire Safety Engineer

Arup is a global leader in fire engineering, and we're seeking a talented professional to join our team. As a Fire Safety Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of technically excellent fire safety outcomes for our clients.
The primary focus of this role is to work closely with senior members of the team to develop fire strategies, analyze design performance, and document outcomes to assist in project coordination. You'll be responsible for specific parts of an external design project, authoring non-standard letters, reports, and other documentation as required.
The Opportunity
- Work independently within a defined area of responsibility, taking ownership of specific project tasks;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality fire engineering solutions;
- Develop and maintain expertise in fire engineering principles, codes, and standards;
- Contribute to the preparation of fee proposals for small to medium-sized projects;
- Liaise with other disciplines within the region, providing technical expertise on fire engineering as required.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specializing in Fire Engineering or a related field;
- Strong knowledge of fire engineering principles, codes, and standards;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
