About the Role:

This position involves working with a small team of professionals to provide care and protection for children and young people who are under guardianship and living in residential care.

As a Child and Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and connection to these young people, helping them with daily tasks, attending events, and promoting their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver trauma-informed care within a strengths-based framework
  • Collaborate with other professionals to meet the needs of the young people
  • Provide assistance with daily tasks and activities
  • Manage challenging behaviors using trauma-informed approaches
  • Complete administrative tasks, including case notes and reporting

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and prioritize self-care
  • Valid driver's license and necessary clearances
  • Up-to-date training and certifications
