Event Operations Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly-organized and motivated individual to assist our event operations team in creating unforgettable events that leave a lasting impression on our guests.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least two years of experience in food and beverage, event management, or a related professional area.
  • Grooming standards that meet luxury service expectations.
  • Effective customer service skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Proven leadership abilities to create an environment where associates can have fun, take pride in their work, and reach their potential.
  • Experience in a fast-paced 5-star environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role, is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of financial aspects of management and be able to effectively manage departmental inventories and assets. They will also be responsible for ordering supplies, conducting monthly meetings, and leading shifts to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage departmental inventories and assets to maintain high levels of quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Banquet captains and employees to discuss progress and set goals.
  • Order supplies and equipment to support event operations.
  • Understand the impact of Banquet operations on overall event success and implement strategies to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule banquet service staff to meet forecasted demand while maintaining high service standards.
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in event servicing to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints and concerns.
