Event Operations Specialist - Sports Events Delivery

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the successful execution of high-profile sports events.

The Event Operations Specialist will oversee all operational aspects of these events, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver an exceptional experience for attendees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive event operations plans to support the delivery of sports events.
  • Coordinate and oversee all on-site logistics, including venue setup, staffing, equipment management, and health and safety.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including event contractors, venue managers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Monitor event progress and make timely decisions to address any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Manage a team of event staff, providing strong leadership, training, and support.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall event experience.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of sports event management/operations experience.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including the capacity to motivate and encourage a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to think on your feet.
  • A passion for sports and delivering exceptional event experiences.
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
