The Asian Football Confederation has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four.
\\
As an Event Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering and placing furniture, fittings, equipment, and overlay elements such as fencing, tents, cabins, and media tribunes at the stadium.
\\
Key Responsibilities:
\\
- \
- Coordinate on-site venue logistics with Venue Operations, managing contractors, temporary infrastructure, and the Master Delivery Schedule (MDS).\
\ - Lead the stadium logistics team to deliver and place furniture, fittings, equipment, and overlay elements.\
\ - Build strong relationships with stadium staff, volunteers, suppliers, broadcast, sponsors, service providers, and other stakeholders.\
\ - Ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of all venue operations, identifying risks, solving challenges, and adhering to WHS and tournament standards.\
\ - Provide hands-on support for Dressing and Signage, ensuring brand alignment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining the tournament's look and feel.\
\ - Contribute to project management, debriefs, and documentation, while demonstrating flexibility for long hours, weekends, and live-event demands.\
\ - Proven experience in logistics, event operations, or temporary infrastructure installation is required.\
\ - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for managing diverse teams and personalities.\
\ - Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities are necessary for success in this role.\
\ - A proactive, hands-on approach with a cool head and flexible attitude is essential.\
\ - Comfortable navigating stadium environments and coordinating across multiple departments.\
\ - Passion for live events and the ability to thrive in dynamic, unpredictable settings is required.\
\ - Must demonstrate the ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one united team, and consistently strive for excellence.\
\ - Full working rights in Australia are required.\
\ - Working with children check or state-based equivalent is required.\
\ - International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)\
\ - Out of hours and weekend work as required.\
