Delivering Culturally Sensitive Community Mental Health Services

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in providing advanced community mental health services.

The successful candidate will provide culturally secure care that considers the emotional, social and spiritual well-being of clients, delivering services based on best practice.

About This Role:

  • Provide advanced community mental health services to clients based on best practice principles.
  • Deliver culturally secure care that takes into account the emotional, social and spiritual well-being of clients.
  • Conduct mental health and/or drug and alcohol triage, acute initial assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, care management planning and implementation of care plans and referral services to clients and their carers.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal consumers, their families and other stakeholders.
