The position of Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Mental Health requires a professional with advanced community mental health nursing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivers culturally secure care that considers the emotional, social and spiritual well-being of clients.
- Conducts mental health and/or drug and alcohol triage, acute initial assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, care management planning and implementation of care plans and referral services to clients and their carers.

Eligibility and RequirementsEligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated ability to apply recovery approaches when working with individuals, families and communities affected by mental health conditions.
Advanced community mental health nursing skills with complex mental health conditions, including mental state assessment, risk assessments, crisis intervention and care coordination.
Working in this role requires excellent communication skills, empathy and understanding of clients' needs and concerns.
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, think critically and make informed decisions.
