Mental Health Mentor

We're looking for a compassionate and resilient support worker to join our team and make a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health challenges. If you have a background in mental health or diabetes (or are eager to learn), we'd love to hear from you. This role offers flexibility and room to grow in a supportive value-led environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide person-centred support to participants with mental health conditions.
- Assist with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment.
- Document and report on participant progress and any incidents.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
- Understand Trauma Informed care
- Maintain a positive, encouraging mindset and don't be disheartened by set backs or when progress feels gradual

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with mental health support is preferred but not essential training will be provided.
- Background in diabetes education is a plus.
- Must have Yellow Card, Blue Card, Police Check, First Aid, and CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle challenging behaviours with empathy and resilience.
- Cert IV individual support is Preferred

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 30 per week
