We are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our team in providing comprehensive support services for children and families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, provide crisis intervention, and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver evidence-based programs and collaborate with community partners to support families.
- Recruit, assess, and support foster carers, including facilitating approval processes.
- Maintain accurate client records and lead case management planning.
- Provide flexible support services, including after-hours and on-call duties.
About You:
- You possess a strong passion for child welfare and the ability to establish positive relationships with individuals and families.
- You have a relevant degree in social work or psychology, or equivalent experience, and hold current certifications as required.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in social work, psychology, or related field - or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of child protection, out-of-home care, and relevant legislation.
- Skilled in care assessments and trauma-informed practice.
- Knowledge of challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
