Community Safety Advocate

As a vital component of Queensland's emergency services, auxiliary firefighters play a pivotal role in supporting the community. This position requires individuals who are dedicated to promoting safety and preparedness through proactive involvement in fire and emergency incidents.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergencies with a focus on safeguarding the community and enhancing emergency readiness.
- Maintain and develop competencies through regular drills and training programs provided by QFES.
- Meet attendance standards for emergency responses and training sessions.
- Operate specialized firefighting equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Mandatory Requirements:
- Obtain written consent from employers for incident response (where applicable).
- Reside or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
- Possess Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Hold a manual C Class driver's license.
- The QFES expects all auxiliary firefighters to commit to attending emergency calls, participating in regular drills, obtaining an MRV license, and engaging in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.
