About the Role

This is a prime opportunity to contribute to emergency incident response and community safety efforts as an Auxiliary Firefighter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to fire and emergency incidents as part of a cohesive team.
  • Promote community safety through education initiatives and activities.
  • Maintain and develop competencies through regular training sessions and drills.
  • Meet required attendance standards for emergency responses and training exercises.
  • Operate specialized firefighting equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Hold a current Blue Card or be eligible to apply for one.
  • Reside or work within a reasonable proximity to an auxiliary fire station.
  • Possess Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Hold a valid Manual C Class driver's license.
Certifications and Licenses:
  • Obtain an MRV License within 12 months of employment.
  • Hold first aid and emergency care certification.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to collaborate effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to community safety.

The successful applicant will be evaluated based on leadership competencies, including vision, results, accountability, and values such as respect, integrity, trust, courage, and loyalty.
