About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Officer to join our team at the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit (JPEU) within the Joint Logistics Command. As a Technical Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Unit's engineering and operations within an accredited system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance test capabilities and design test equipment
  • Develop and implement test methodologies and interpret test standards
  • Closely collaborate with the Chief Engineer and Range Trials Officers

About Our Team

Our team works within the Joint Proof and Experimental Headquarters in support of Guided Weapon and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) test. We support the Operations, Engineering, and Capability Teams covering a wide array of activities.

Our team directly supports GWEO test, including test equipment and specification design, investigating explosives ordnance failure modes, and creating test system delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience in operations and project management, technical design and delivery covering a wide range of explosive test systems. This includes weapons, targets, and support systems.

You will also have a strong understanding of test design, explosive ordnance systems, and measurement practices. An understanding of Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
