Role Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Financial Collections Specialist to join our tight-knit Accounts Team. This role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders daily, assisting with collections, administrative duties, general accounting tasks, providing ad-hoc support to the Accounts team, and managing credit hold customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day collections from wholesale customers
  • Ensure all payments are correctly receipted and processed
  • Account reconciliation
  • Respond to customer queries via email and phone
  • Manage credit hold customers, making informed decisions to release orders
  • End-to-end Credit Works portal management for new account applications
  • Set up new accounts upon approval process completion, including communication to the customer
  • Assist with End-of-Month processes
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in a similar role is desirable
  • System experience & knowledge (AP21 or similar) are advantageous
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • A professional approach with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively towards common goals
  • Great communication skills, attention to detail, can-do attitude, and ability to learn quickly
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
