Game Server Developer Job Description

Overview:

  • We're seeking an experienced Game Server Developer to join our team and collaborate on the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance multiplayer gaming server solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient c# applications using DotNet Standard 2 and DotNet6+, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Implement caching, queuing, and automation solutions to improve server efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Unity experts to integrate Unity with the server and ensure seamless gameplay experience.
  • Work with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain AWS cloud deployment solutions.
  • Partner with PHP experts to develop API and reporting solutions that support the multiplayer servers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with c#/DotNet in a relevant multiplayer project.
  • Expertise in supporting technologies such as socket connections (TCP and UDP), data compression, encryption, etc.
  • Experience working in a gaming environment, preferably with Unity development.
  • Knowledge of source control (preferably GIT) and JIRA.
  • Optional: knowledge of mySQL, memcached, and redis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate ideas, solutions, and issues effectively.
