Game Server Developer

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Game Server Developer to design and implement efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions in C#/DotNet. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical expert to join our project and contribute to the development of cutting-edge gaming technology.

The successful candidate will work closely with Unity experts to debug and enhance Unity integration with the server, ensuring seamless interaction between the two systems. Additionally, they will collaborate with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions for deploying and updating the game servers.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts and be able to identify and resolve concurrency, locking, queues, and race conditions. They will also have experience working in a gaming environment and preferably have developed solutions in Unity.

  • Develop efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions in C#/DotNet.
  • In conjunction with Unity experts, debug and enhance Unity integration with the server.
  • Work with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions to deploy and update the solutions.
  • Cooperate with PHP experts in developing API and reporting solutions to support the multiplayer servers.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience working with C#/DotNet in a relevant multiplayer project.
  • Understanding of supporting technologies such as socket connections (TCP and UDP), data compression, encryption, etc.
  • Experience working in a gaming environment. Preferably, experience in developing solutions in Unity.
  • Experience with cloud hosting and deployment, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of source control (preferable GIT) and JIRA.
  • Preferably, knowledge of MySQL, memcached, and Redis.
Non-Technical Skills:
  • Excellent work ethics and a problem-solving, can-do attitude.
  • Exceptional English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and capability to communicate ideas, solutions, and issues in a fast-paced team.
  • Preferably, experience working in a gaming environment.
  • Open-mindedness towards researching, using, and implementing new technologies.
  • Diligence and respectfulness.
  • Good time estimation of effort.
