Aboriginal Health Leadership Position in Northern Adelaide

About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) seeks a strategic leader to drive Aboriginal health initiatives across the region.
As Executive Director, Aboriginal Health, you will provide leadership and advice on Aboriginal health matters, ensuring that clinical services deliver effective and culturally acceptable care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal communities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance relationships and models of community consultation.
This role requires a sound understanding of contemporary healthcare issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as experience in managing complex change programs and providing leadership in multi-disciplinary settings.
A strong focus on quality improvement, policy development, and stakeholder engagement is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining cultural integrity at all levels.
The appointee will bring proven experience in public health operations, with a particular emphasis on improving the quality of life for Indigenous communities.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate
- a strong track record of leadership and strategic planning in public health or a related field
- extensive knowledge of Aboriginal health issues and policies
- experience in managing large-scale change programs and leading cross-functional teams
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- a deep understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on Aboriginal communities
What We Offer:
NALHN provides a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a competitive salary package, estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
