Our organization is seeking a results-driven leader to oversee the operation of our aquatic and health facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and community-centred services through proactive leadership.
This role involves supervising staff, contractors, and community engagement to ensure compliance, efficiency, and sustainability in our aquatic centre operations and aquatic plant operations and maintenance.
- Oversight of aquatic services, including water quality management, facility maintenance, and risk management.
- Contract management, including preparing documentation, overseeing tender processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Staff supervision, team management, and development, including mentoring and coordination of aquatic facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational excellence and community service experience, driving service improvements and contributing to long-term planning and policy development.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Diploma qualification in Business Management, Sports and Recreation, or relevant discipline.
- Solid experience in aquatic centre operations and aquatic plant operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated contract management skills, including preparation of documentation, tender processes, and contractor performance oversight.
- Proven experience in operating and managing public swimming pools or aquatic centres, including knowledge of water quality management, facility maintenance, staff supervision, risk management, and compliance with relevant health, safety, and industry regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
