Empower Young Lives as a Coach

Synergize with our supportive and results-driven team to empower young people between 17-22 years old with disabilities to achieve their employment goals.

The Sticking Together Project's coaching model has been developed to support young people in identifying barriers to employment, finding jobs, and maintaining them. This role requires frequent travel to the Logan area to provide support.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building strong relationships with employers to maintain young people's jobs.
- Collaborating with the Practice lead to effectively implement the Sticking Together Project coaching model.
- Promoting the benefits of hiring young people with disabilities to employers.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including jobactive providers, for continuous referrals.

About You

- Proven experience engaging and working with disadvantaged young people.
- Success in delivering individual and group programs for young people.
- Ability to negotiate on behalf of young people with stakeholders, including employers and service providers.
- Experience working in partnerships with other support services.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to plan, prioritise and achieve outcomes with minimal supervision.

Requirements

- Willingness to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Primarily mobile role requiring a valid driver's licence and registered vehicle with a 4-5 star ANCAP safety rating.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as disability, community services or youth work.
