Job Summary:

Our Residential Care Worker is a vital role in providing care and support to young people in our Out of Home Care programs.

This position requires the ability to work with children and young people who have high and complex needs, as well as those in protective placements. The successful candidate will participate in the day-to-day operation of the unit, including responding to the emotional and functional needs of the young person, developing their personal skills, and undertaking administrative requirements and household duties.

This is a casual opportunity within our Out of Home Care program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people and their families

- Provide individualized support and care to meet the unique needs of each young person

- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized plans for young people in care

- Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or other similar tertiary qualification

- A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing

- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding in an open-minded and non-judgmental manner
